Return of the Body Snatcher

By J.D. Reed/Reported by Wendy Cole

Look very carefully. Now look again. Check out the curves
and even the shadows. The swanky shimmer. The come-hither
slither of a pose. In this week's cover story, TV Guide may
have wanted to puff up the incredible shrinking Oprah Winfrey
as the richest woman on television, but she didn't have a thing
to wear. Not to worry. Just borrow a Bob Mackie original (1978)
from actress-dancer Ann-Margret. Better yet, borrow
Ann-Margret. "I'm not sure what to think," says the bemused,
besequined bombshell. "I've been on the cover of TV Guide four
times, but never without my head." As for Oprah, maybe it's time
to give up that liquid diet: she seems to have lost more than
she bargained for.
